What exact targets are for
Start from the real file-size limit
Exact targets are useful when an upload flow gives you a hard file-size limit. PDF Ready lets you choose targets such as 300 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB, 4 MB, and 12 MB where available, so you can start from the real limit instead of guessing.
Readability
Do not crush the PDF just to reach a smaller number
A smaller file can lose detail, especially when the PDF contains scans, photos, stamps, or fine text. If the upload allows 4 MB, do not force the file toward 500 KB unless the document still reads clearly after preparation.
Real upload screen
Match the target to the destination workflow
If the destination asks for 2 MB, start with 2 MB. If it allows 12 MB, keep that room when readability matters. PDF Ready prepares the file, but the destination portal has the final say.
Before clean export
Review size, pages, warnings, and preview readability
Check file size, page count, warnings, preview readability, and any OCR or PDF/A-2b choice before exporting the clean copy. PDF contents are prepared on your phone and are not uploaded to PDF Ready servers.
