When 2 MB helps
Use it when the upload screen gives that limit
A 2 MB target is useful for documents that need stricter compression than 4 MB but more room than 300 KB or 500 KB. Start with the limit shown by the actual upload workflow.
2 MB is a common strict upload target. PDF Ready can prepare a clean copy for that size, but size is not the only check. Review pages, warnings, compatibility choices, and readability before export.

Not only size
A file can be under 2 MB and still fail because of unreadable pages, extra pages, unusual structure, or options the destination does not accept. Use the warnings and preview before clean export.
Options
OCR can help when scanned text needs to be searchable or selectable. PDF/A-2b can help when a workflow asks for that format. Both choices can affect size and should be reviewed before export.
If the portal still rejects it
If the destination reports an error, keep the clean copy and review what the message says. You may need to remove pages, choose a different target, turn OCR or PDF/A-2b on or off, or prepare again from the original.

Boundary: PDF Ready prepares the PDF against the target and options you choose. PDF contents are prepared on your phone and are not uploaded to PDF Ready servers. The destination portal has the final say.
