PDF Ready

Exact size target

Prepare a PDF for a 4 MB upload limit

Use 4 MB when the real portal allows it and the document benefits from extra room for readability. In many workflows, 4 MB is a practical destination, but it is not automatically the safest choice if the actual path might still force 2 MB.

Where 4 MB usually appears

  • IRCC accounts or upload paths that explicitly allow 4 MB.
  • Supporting documents with scans, stamps, or fine text that suffer too much at 2 MB.
  • Portal workflows where you already confirmed the higher allowance.

What 4 MB changes

  • You have more room for readability than with a 2 MB target.
  • You still need to review the result instead of assuming acceptance.
  • You still should not switch on extra processing unless the destination asks for it.

Choose 4 MB only when the destination really allows it

This matters most in IRCC-related workflows. Some accounts allow 4 MB, while other paths still force 2 MB. If you are not sure, use the stricter path first and keep 4 MB for the cases where the portal clearly supports it.
