GENERAL profile for upload-ready PDFs
GENERAL is the flexible starting point when you do not know the upload destination yet. It supports target sizes from 1 through 10 MB, plus 15 MB, 20 MB, and 25 MB.
What this profile is for
- Best for supporting documents such as scans, statements, and letters.
- Not for dynamic XFA forms or PDFs whose digital signature must remain valid.
When to start here
- You only need the file to fit a target size, but the destination portal is not clear yet.
- The PDF opens correctly, but you still expect size or compatibility problems during upload.
- You want the most flexible app profile before you try a stricter portal-specific case.
How PDF Ready helps
- Lets you work toward target sizes from 1 MB through 25 MB.
- Uses the automatic engine for that profile instead of exposing manual quality tuning.
- Keeps the workflow on-device, without sending PDF contents to a server.
- Enables extras such as OCR or PDF/A-2b only when they are really needed.
What to do in the app
- Choose the target size you need.
- Let the engine adapt the output automatically.
- Review final size and readability before you export the final watermark-free copy.
